Welcome to Atchison Catholic Preschool!
The ACES Preschool is for 3 and 4 year old children. The primary objective of the school is to provide quality-learning experiences for very young children in a controlled environment of love, trust and security. The Preschool encourages growth in individual skills, a feeling of self-worth, concern for others, cooperation, sharing, and enjoyable learning experience.
The program at the ACES Preschool involves free play, directed and self-selected play time, group and individual activities, art projects, gross motor activities, field trips, language and science experiences and other varied activities. Arts and crafts play an important part in the program. Skills emphasized include cutting, coloring, gluing, identifying colors and printing. Music is introduced to the children by their learning songs, playing rhythm instruments, listening to tapes and records, play-acting and dancing. Emphasis is placed on knowing God as a loving Father, on loving and respecting teachers and classmates, and forming good Christian values used in daily living.
