v Ways to Help Your Child Love the Mass: Make it special – Have Mass be the start of special family time each Saturday night or Sunday. Afterwards, go out for a meal, visit friends or relatives, do something fun as a family. Then they’ll look forward to it each week.
v Reminder: Confirmation will be on Monday, April 7th at 7:00 p.m. at the Abbey. Confirmation practice will be at the Abbey on Saturday, April 5th at 7:30 p.m.
v Congratulations to 6th grader, Lane Fry. He was selected for April’s Raven of the Month!
v On Friday, May 2nd the sales representative, Patty, from Dennis Uniform will be here with samples from 8:00am-4:00pm. Please come and take advantage of this opportunity. Families will receive a 15% discount if you place your order on that day. (May 2nd) If you have any questions, please call me 367-3503.
v March Fundraiser: Cookies should be ready for pick up around April 18th.
v Reminder: First Communion will be on Sunday, April 20th.
v Congratulations to 6th grader, Maggie Fangman who finished in 4th place and 8th grader, Celia Kasper who finished in 10th place out of 49 contestants in the Regional Spelling Bee Contest held in Topeka. Way to go Maggie and Celia! You both represented ACES with pride!
v The registration packets for 2008-2009 were mailed before Easter break. The packets included registration forms and the school calendar. The early bird fee is $140.00 per student if paid by May 1st. Otherwise, the fee will be $165.00 per student. Please make sure that you designate on the registration form which parish you are registered with. Also, it is very important that the office has a copy of your child’s immunization records, birth certificate and baptismal certificate, if Catholic.
v National Day of Prayer: Grades 5-8 will be participating in the National Day of Prayer on May 1st at the Riverfront.
v Students may wear shorts starting on Tuesday, April 15th. The shorts must be navy blue or khaki and be no more than 2” above the top of the knee.
v Totus Tuus Returns: We will be hosting Totus Tuus the week of July 28-August 1, grade K-7 and the week of July 27-31, grades 8-12. Cost: $10.00 per child or $25.00 per family. Information will be sent home next Friday.
ACES
CARNIVAL INFORMATION:
The ACES carnival is April 25th. All children should have a sheet in their book bags to get their orders placed for wristbands. The tickets will be available the night of the carnival. We are still looking for sponsors to help pay for the inflatables. If anyone would like to donate, please contact Susan Kramer at 367-7018 or sukramer@bbwi.net. Please mark April 25th from 5pm to 9 pm on your calendar to help make this a successful and fun night for ACES.

SCRIP:
Thank you to all who turned in Scrip surveys this past week. We hope to use the information to improve and expand Scrip. Your free Carnival tickets will be sent out in a marked envelope before April 23rd. There is NO SCRIP APRIL 7th. Our national supplier, Great Lakes Scrip, is closed that week for scheduled maintenance. The next order is April 14th. All orders placed on the 14th will be entered into a drawing for a free Carnival wristband. New bonuses include Lands’ End at 12% until May 9th and Shutterfly. Don’t forget to buy Dennis Uniform gift certificates for $20 at 5% to use towards the purchase of the new uniform skirt. Thank you for your continued support.
TRACK
INFORMATION:
Mr. Brockhoff needs drivers for all of the track meets. Please check the schedule and call the office if you are able to drive. Reminder to all of the track members: Please check the weather prior to the track meets and dress appropriately and bring plenty of food and water.
