 FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK:

v    Ways to Help Your Child Love the Mass: Visit during quiet times- At the beginning of Advent or Lent, pay a family visit to your church when Mass is not being celebrated and remark on the changes in the church.  When you next attend Mass, they’ll notice more. 

v    We were able to raise $1007.00 for Brandon Handke during today’s fundraiser.   Thank you to everyone who participated in the special event! 

v    On Friday, May 2nd the sales representative, Patty, from Dennis Uniform will be here with samples from 8:00am-4:00pm.  Please come and take advantage of this opportunity.  Families will receive a 15% discount if you place your order on that day. (May 2nd)   If you have any questions, please call me 367-3503.

v      March Fundraiser:  Cookies should be ready for pick up around April 18th

v      Reminder:  First Communion will be on Sunday, April 20th.

v      Long John Silvers donated $143.55 to ACES during their Friday Lenten Rebate.  Thank you Long John Silvers!

v      The registration packets for 2008-2009 were mailed before Easter break.  The packets included registration forms and the school calendar.  The early bird fee is $140.00 per student if paid by May 1st.  Otherwise, the fee will be $165.00 per student.  Please make sure that you designate on the registration form which parish you are registered with.  Also, it is very important that the office has a copy of your child’s immunization records, birth certificate and baptismal certificate, if Catholic. 

v      National Day of Prayer:  Grades 5-8 will be participating in the National Day of Prayer on May 1st at the Riverfront. 

v      Students may wear shorts starting on Tuesday, April 15th.  The shorts must be navy blue or khaki and be no more than 2” above the top of the knee. 

v      Totus Tuus Returns:  We will be hosting Totus Tuus the week of July 28-August 1, grade K-7 and the week of July 27-31, grades 8-12.  Cost:  $10.00 per child or $25.00 per family.  Information will be sent home next Friday. 

 

 ACES CARNIVAL INFORMATION:

The carnival is quickly approaching.  Mark your calendars for April 25th.  If you would like to donate any money towards the carnival please contact Susan Kramer at 367-7018 or sukramer@bbwi.net.  I am also looking for workers for all of the games and inflatables.  They are 1-hour shifts from 5-6, 6-7 and 7-8pm.  The inflatables are open until 9pm.  We are trying to get some of the older kids to fill up the list first and then I will be sending out next week what is still needed.   If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to let me know. 

 

 ACES SCRIP:

Next order is this Monday April 14th.  Start thinking of Mother's Day, graduations, spring birthdays and order through Scrip!  Bonuses for this month include- Bath & Body Works- 18% on $10 and $25 gift cards; Lands' End- 12% for $25 and $100 cards; and Shutterfly at 14%.  Bath & Body makes a great Mother's Day, graduation, and birthday gift.  You can give the gift cards or use the gift cards to purchase great products!  Thank you to all of you who order!  All orders placed April 14th and April 21st will be entered into a drawing for a FREE CARNIVAL WRISTBAND!!!
